Internship at Errando Herranz Lab, QuTech/TU Delft

TU Delft/QuTech

Single color centers in silicon are a promising alterative qubit for next generation quantum communication and computing due to their telecom emission and the scalabily of silicon photonics and microelectronics. The intern will be embedded in our silicon color center project in collaboration with the PhD students and postdocs in the group. Example tasks are design and simulation of photonic devices for color center coupling, assembly of color centers via transfer printing, room and cryogenic temperature characterization of photonic devices (including waveguides, resonators, etc.), and single color center spectroscopy measurements.

Ideal candidates have a background in physics or electrical engineering, are at least 2 years into their PhD, and have experience either in integrated photonics or spectroscopy.
