QIA at Quantum Meets ’26: Showcasing Europe’s Path from Quantum Internet Research to Impact

The Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) was pleased to participate in Quantum Meets ’26, bringing together researchers, startups, industry leaders, investors, and policymakers from across the quantum technology ecosystem.

A highlight of QIA’s participation was the session “Architecture to Impact: Europe’s Quantum Internet.” The session brought together voices from across the ecosystem, with QIA Lead Mission Engineer Scarlett Gauthier guiding the discussion and industry representatives Ingrid Romijn (Q*Bird), Jessie Qin-Dregely (Single Quantum), and Fokko de Vries (Qblox) sharing their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of bringing quantum networking technologies to market.

Throughout the event, visitors were also invited to stop by the QIA booth, which served as a meeting point for participants interested in learning more about the alliance, its activities, opportunities for engagement, and the latest developments in quantum networking. The booth enabled many valuable conversations with researchers, industry representatives, students, and other stakeholders from across the quantum ecosystem.

Beyond the session and booth activities, Quantum Meets ’26 provided valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, strengthen collaborations, and connect with stakeholders who are helping shape the future of quantum technologies.

Take a look at some highlights from QIA’s participation at Quantum Meets ’26 below.
