SURF’s main expertise is in the development and operation of state-of-the-art networks and other high-performance IT services. Being a National Research and Education Network (NREN) with experience in quantum network deployment, SURF will participate defining and supporting use cases for quantum application development as part of the Use Case Development Team.

SURF is also involved in fostering international collaboration between quantum internet researchers, classical network researchers, and network engineers involved in standardization at the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). In particular, will guide QIA’s participation at the Quantum Internet Research Group (QIRG) as part of the Innovation Team.
