Internship at Technical University of Valencia’s Quantum Computing Architecture Group

Technical University of Valencia logo

Compiling quantum circuits onto quantum hardware platforms is a fundamental challenge in quantum computing, especially in the context of quantum networks, where communication constraints must be also considered. Our research focuses on developing compilation strategies tailored for end nodes in quantum networks, ensuring that quantum programs can be efficiently executed while adapting to different hardware limitations. In addition, we investigate how quantum network applications perform when considering different network and end-node configurations by leveraging simulation frameworks such as Qoala.

The intern will contribute to research on quantum circuit compilation for networked quantum processors based on ion trap technology. The focus will be on exploring novel approaches to enhance the fidelity of quantum program execution and validating the results through simulations.

The ideal candidate would be a Master student in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a background in compilers, quantum algorithms and Python.
