ICFO is an international research centre dedicated to advancing photonics and quantum technologies. Within QIA, ICFO is developing quantum repeater nodes based on solid-state quantum memories and leading the efforts to engineer the quantum repeater-based backbone that will be connecting the two QIA Metropolitan networks over long distances.
