The Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) invites you to Building the Quantum Internet in Europe, a two-day community event taking place on 28–29 September 2026 at Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Ciência Viva in Lisbon, Portugal.

As Europe moves from breakthrough research towards integrated systems, pilot facilities and deployment-ready technologies, the need to connect the entire quantum internet community has never been greater. This event will showcase Europe’s progress while creating a forum to discuss the next steps towards a global quantum internet made in Europe.

The programme will feature a mix of keynote presentations, inspiring talks, interactive discussions and networking opportunities designed to foster dialogue across the community. Researchers, technology developers, startups, industry, policymakers and European initiatives will come together to exchange ideas, strengthen collaborations and help shape the future of Europe’s quantum internet.

Organised by QIA and hosted by the Portuguese Quantum Institute, the event reflects QIA’s role in bringing together the stakeholders needed to build Europe’s quantum internet and accelerate its journey from research to real-world deployment.

Participation

The event will take place in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend onsite in Lisbon or online.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
