ARQ Quantum Technology is a Barcelona-based startup developing quantum repeaters based on solid-state quantum memories for the realization of the future Quantum Internet. The company focuses on building practical, rack-integrated quantum nodes designed for deployment in real-world telecom and networking environments, leveraging the massive multiplexing capacity of the solid-state quantum memories to target high-rate and low-cost communication.
At QIA, ARQ will participate in the realisation of several key pieces of the long-distance prototype, from the realisation of a quantum repeater node, to participating in the crucial interface between long-distance and metropolitan network, and to the deployment of a full quantum repeater node in a metropolitan setting.
