Roberto Viola, Director General (DG) of the European Commission’s (EC) Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) visited the labs and facilities of QIA partners in Delft, the Netherlands on 22 September 2023, highlighting the Dutch quantum ecosystem and technological advances in Europe.

The visit started with a roundtable at the House of Quantum organised by Quantum Delta NL, followed by a tour of the community labs and pitches by quantum startups that include QIA partners Qblox and QphoX. (Check Quantum Delta’s official news release here.)

After the tour of the House of Quantum, the delegation proceeded to QuTech where they explored quantum computing and optics labs and facilities, including the optics lab where some of the QIA activities take place. (Check QuTech’s official news release here.)

QIA Director Stephanie Wehner and members Mariagrazia Iuliano and Arian Stolk explained some of the QIA activities to DG Viola and other EC officials.
